The Biggest Black History Month Event in The UK Returns

The Black History Month Art, Culture and Business Exhibition 2026
Theme: ‘A Century of Black History Commemorations’
23rd to 25th October 2026, Middleton Hall, Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre
THE EVENT
The Black History Month Art, Culture and Business exhibition is back for its fifth iteration in Middleton Hall, Central Milton Keynes.
Starting with 24 exhibitors in 2022, it has grown to 70 businesses and a footfall of 102,000 people.
This year we expect to host over 100 businesses and not-for-profit organisations.
The number of days for the exhibition has now been increased from 2 days and will take place over 3 days this year.
CentreMK has a potential 100,000 footfall during the weekend and we isuccessfully taped into that opportunity in 2025 with over 102,000 people encountering the exhibition. We expect to hit those same numbers or more in 2026 to ensure maximum opportunity for our exhibitors
The exhibition which has been featured on BBC Look East as well as local press and radio has had several successes over the years:
-
It centred black art and business in Milton Keynes
-
It encouraged collaboration
-
It created self confidence among black exhibitors
-
It was well received by the community
-
It provided exposure and new market opportunities

AIMS
To use the period known as 'Black History Month' to highlight, celebrate and feature businesses and art of people of black heritage who are not normally featured in mainstream activities and provide them with an opportunity to be the centre of MK life for that week.
To boost financial activity for black businesses and creatives which can lead to growth.
To provide an opportunity for networking, learning and collaboration between black business and creatives themselves and also with mainstream businesses and creatives.
To provide an opportunity for learning and social understanding and cohesion among the communities of Milton Keynes.
